山口塁

1991年 石川県金沢市生まれ
2023年 東京藝術大学美術研究科先端芸術表現専攻 修士課程在籍

2016年より世界中を旅しながら、出会った人々とのコミュニケーションを通じてテキスト、映像、パフォーマンス作品を制作している。一見するとユーモアで軽やかな手法でコミュニティへ介入しているが、現代社会や国家の力関係、またそれに帰属する個人のアイデンティティを浮き彫りにすることで、新たな視点を提供している。

近年の主な展示に「ON LIMITS」（新有楽町#ソノアイダ、2023年）、「A-TOM ART AWARD 2022 ヴァナキュラーと夜明け」（コートヤードHIROO、2022年）、「ATLAS 2022」（東京藝術大学取手校地、2022年）、「On My Way – Sharing Experiences」（Under the Mango Tree、ベルリン、2022年）など。

Rui Yamaguchi

1991 Born in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan
2023 Master’s degree student at Tokyo University of the Arts, Department of Intermedia art

Since 2016, he has been traveling around the world, creating text, video, and performance works through communication with the people he meets. At first glance, he intervenes in communities with humor and light-hearted methods, but he offers new perspectives by highlighting the power relations of contemporary societies and nations, as well as the identities of individuals who belong to them.

Recent major exhibitions include “ON LIMITS” (Shin-Yurakucho #Sonoaida, 2023), “A-TOM ART AWARD 2022 Vernacular and Dawn” (Courtyard HIROO, 2022), “ATLAS 2022” (Tokyo University of the Arts Toride Campus, 2022), “On My Way – Sharing Experiences” (Under the Mango Tree, Berlin, 2022).
