If you head straight across the Sea of Japan from the Kanazawa coast, you’ll reach Russia, a place Yamaguchi once traveled to. What has changed since then is that the war has begun. From the coast, battered by harsh winter winds, He silently continued to throw sand in the direction of Russia.

金沢の海岸から日本海を挟んで真っ直ぐ行くと、かつて旅したロシアが位置している。あの頃から変わったのは、戦争がはじまったことだ。厳冬の季節風が吹き荒れる海岸から、ロシアの方角へ黙々と砂を投げ続けた。
